California Beaches

Have you ever wondered which beaches fit you ? This information will allow you to see some of the finest beaches California Has to offer. California's enormous coastline has many beaches one has not visit, and this will broaden your choice for future new beach visits.Every kind of person whether you love public beaches or private beaches. This information will help one make a good choice that fits ones needs . 








Surfing Beaches

1.Mavericks, Half Moon Bay - Biggest waves in the winter competitions held sometimes.Its coastline is also very rugged and also known as Mavericks Point For anyone who loves surfing, the waters of this iconic break are hallowed ground. During the winter, the northern Pacific Ocean waves routinely reach over 25 feet and top out at over five stories. Depending on the conditions.

2.Ocean,San Francisco  - Experienced surfers only, harsh rip tides, adjacent to the Golden Gate Park strong currents and tides. Also great for Bonfire parties. Many experienced surfers enjoy this spot but not suited for novice surfers.

3.Rincon Beach, Santa Barbara- Surf is constant and a delight for regulars. A small beach, and houses line the shore and the shore nearly disappears  at high tide. Great location to stay at the beach and surf. 

4.Steamer Lane, Santa Cruz-Good for novice surfers. By far the most famous surf spot in all of Santa Cruz, but if you want to paddle out at "the Lane".When the swell is up, the lane offers world-class waves, at times reaching triple overhead.

5.Surfrider Beach, Malibu- Popular spot that you can always count on for good waves. Surfrider Beach is one of the most famous surfing spots in the world. Just north of the Malibu Pier. The first point produces some of the best longboarding waves in the country. The summer south swells can attract hundreds of surfers to the lineup at Surfrider Beach.

Sport Beaches 

6.Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles- Great for volleyball and other sand sports.Manhattan Beach is a very affluent beach town within commuting distance of Los Angeles and therefore it is one of the most expensive coastal towns in which to live in America.

7. Huntington Beach, Orange County- Plane sands and enough room for any beach sport.  Huntington Beach is also a popular destination for Kite surfing, and this sport can be viewed on the beach northwest of the pier.Huntington Beach is the host city of the National Paintball League  Super 7 Paintball Championships. The NPPL holds its first event of the year traditionally between the dates of March 23 through March 26.



Family Beaches

8.Oceanside Beach, Oceanside- Plenty of beach, Pier is the largest wooden pier on the west coast.The beach area south of the Oceanside Pier is Oceanside’s most popular beach. If you don’t mind crowds, you will be comfortable here. Surfing, body boarding and body surfing contests are held at the Oceanside Pier throughout the summer. There are also various events that are held in the Oceanside Pier Amphitheater. The pier itself is a beautiful walk and a popular fishing spot as well.

9.Santa Monica Beach, Santa Monica- fair at the Pier and many family games and events along the beach.The world-famous Santa Monica Pier offers a variety of entertainment and shopping including Pacific Park amusement park. It also has its weekly farmers market.

10. Coronado Beach, San Diego- Family Orientated Beach with sailing and kite flying. An underpass allows access to bayside beach and picnic area. This beach allows you and your family to escape the city and feel at ease with no city life hazards.
